As most of you may have already realized, Ecotopians suffered a major loss of information recently. This resulted in the loss of several users' accounts, the entire sprigs feature, and more. I must apologize for this complete disaster. The web host that Ecotopians is a part of had mechanical issues with the hard drive associated with our server. This unfortunately resulted in the loss of the entire site. However, I luckily had a back up of my own that I'd taken, yet, unfortunately, it was not nearly up-to-date.

I'm a so sorry for all this mess. I have done my best to bring as much of Ecotopians back to how it was. Unfortunately, many losses were suffered. I will certainly be working on recoding the entire Sprigs feature. I'm not sure how long this will take me, but I promise to get it back up and running for everyone as soon as I can. Please wish me luck on the several days ahead and endless hours of work that the near future holds for me.

I am extremely furious with our web host; yet, they have made it clear that there is nothing I can do to retrieve the lost information. If anyone lost ecobucks, badges, or anything else, please ecomail me or email me at sierra[at]ecotopians.com as soon as you can so I can see if I can bring anything back onto your account. Thank you so much for sticking with me through these awful times.

With Halloween almost around the corner, celebration time has come for Ecotopia!

As you browse the site, a small house will appear in the bottom right corner of the screen.

If you click on this house, you will be taken to a small house where you may ring the doorbell and trick-or-treat! Any candy you receive gets put in your very own Halloween Bag. (Make sure to create a Halloween Bag before you begin trick-or-treating or else you won't be able to keep your candy!) At the end of October, whoever has the most candy in their Halloween Bag will win a prize!

But wait, there's a catch! You can steal candy from other users' Halloween Bags. If you click on "All Bags" on the Halloween Bags page, you can see everyone's bag. If you click on a bag, you can attempt to steal a piece of candy from them. Sometimes you may succeed; however, other times you may be caught in the act. Under this circumstance, you'll be fined one piece of candy and the other user will get to keep their candy. It's a gamble, but it may be worth it!

Have fun during this autumn holiday!

The Blender has been redone so it works soundly in all Internet browsers (I hope). If you have any trouble blending smoothies, be sure to report the problem here.

In addition, 5 new smoothies can now be made with the new blender!

If you don't feel like using the blender, just swing by The Smoothie Bar to see if they are for sale.
